You can look far and wide, and you'll find many hypnotherapists online who offer hypnotherapy services, but how many of them are willing to share their educational experience? The answer is: not many. You'll see claims of being "certified," but what most people don't know is that in 48 states there are no certification requirements, and anyone can legally call themselves a hypnotherapist. The two states who "register" hypnotherapists don't have educational requirements. They simply check to make sure you don't have a criminal record. Even those who have some training usually take a 100 hour certification course to receive a certification that has no recognition beyond the diploma mill that certifies them. Thunderpup is a student of the only college of hypnotherapy to be accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. Because of this government recognition, Thunderpup was able to get federal student aid to attend. Only legitimate educational institutions become eligible for such federal funding. Additionally, The program Thunderpup is attending consists of two full years of training. Even at the 25% completion point in his training, Thunderpup already has almost four times the education that a typical clinical hypnotherapist receives, and Thunderpup's education only grows as his full-time schooling will continue until November of 2025 when a total of 1,440 hours of educational instruction will earn Thunderpup a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Mind-Body Psychology.
